What is CarrierQuoteShop?
CarrierQuoteShop.com, the web's first open quoting portal for independent commercial telecommunication agents,
made its online debut on March 1, 2010. The project is a collaboration of many of the nation's top communication
service providers coordinated by Telarus, Inc.. The first six service providers to participate in the project were
MegaPath, XO, Telnes Broadband, TelePacific, One Communications, and AireSpring.
What's the catch?
Gone are the days when you need to hunt down carrier pricing in multiple back office web sites. Also gone
is the need for you to email and/or call your channel managers to request quotes. Now you have access to
all of the information you need in under 60 seconds. The carriers want you to have this information! That
is why they pay to support and grow this web site - so that you can quote their products quickly and accurately,
without the need for manual communication.
Why is CarrierQuoteShop giving away free licenses of this software?
CarrierQuoteShop was created in an effort to make GeoQuote the industry standard. By increasing the number of users
of the quote engine, carriers will invest more in robust API's, delivering accurate pricing and up-to-date promotional
information. CarrierQuoteShop wants you to utilize the tool to increase quote volume and thereby make quoting even more accurate.

Can I use CarrierQuoteShop and continue with my existing relationships?
Yes! By using CarrierQuoteShop, you are under no obligation to use Telarus contracts. Simply log in, find the
price point you want, and put the order through your existing channel, whether it be with the carrier direct or through
another master agent.
How long does it take for carriers to approve me to see their quotes?
The average response time for carrier approval is less than 3 business days. If you are experiencing an unseasonably
long delay, please don't hesitate to contact us so we can investigate the source of the delay.
Just how accurate are these quotes?
The quotes you see are pulled directly from the carrier's own pricing system via XML in real-time. The pricing you see
on your screen is the same that you will see in their back office. Promotional pricing (that requires additional approval to
sell) is colored in green, and prices that are not 100% accurate are colored pink. As a matter of general practice,
you should always verify pricing with your channel manager before sending your client a proposal.
